The latest update comes nearly two weeks after Nancy was reported missing on February 1. The 84-year-old was last seen by her daughter Annie Guthrie and son-in-law Tommaso Cioni, who dropped her off at her home at around 9:48 p.m. the night before. Her disappearance was considered a crime after "concerning evidence" was found in her home, which was later confirmed to be her blood. "Nancy Guthrie is bleeding from some area, either the hands or the face," forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden told a news outlet on Thursday, February 12. "The nature of the blood spots with little pale centers or donut shapes is typical for drops that come from the nose or mouth, because they're mixed with air."The expert suggested Nancy was either "coughing up blood or dripping from the nose."

Officers immediately suspected a possible kidnapping since the senior was "limited in her mobility" but had no "cognitive issues." As OK! previously reported earlier this week, the FBI released footage of a possible suspect, who approached Nancy's home at around 1:45 a.m. the morning of her disappearance. "Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff's Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie's home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors - including the removal of recording devices," FBI director Kash Patel announced via X on February 10.

The federal agent explained the video was recovered from "residual data located in backend systems.""Working with our partners - as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie's front door the morning of her disappearance," he continued.

The chilling photos show the suspect, whose identity is concealed by a ski mask, wearing a zip-up jacket, light-colored pants and black gloves. He also carried a large backpack, which investigators believe was full and could have contained a tarp.
