Prime Video has announced the teaser and release schedule for Spider Noir, a new original series headlined by Nicolas Cage, marking his first lead role in a television project. The show will begin airing in the United States on MGM's linear channel on May 25, 2026, followed by its global launch on Prime Video on May 27 across more than 240 countries and territories. Audiences will have the option to stream the series either in a classic black and white presentation or in a full colour version.-NoirSpider-NoirSpider-NoirSpider-NoirSpider-NoirSpider-Noir Set in 1930s New York, the story centres on Ben Reilly, a private investigator carrying emotional scars from a painful loss. As he struggles to move forward, circumstances pull him back into a hidden chapter of his life connected to the city's lone masked vigilante. The narrative blends crime drama with a grounded superhero arc, rooted in the Marvel comic interpretation of Spider Man Noir. The ensemble cast includes Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston and Brendan Gleeson, along with several recurring and guest performers who add to the layered world of the series. The mix of established names and fresh faces aims to bring depth to the period setting and its characters. Harry Bradbeer directs and executive produces the opening episodes. The series is guided by co showrunners Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot, developed in collaboration with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Amy Pascal. Production is backed by Sony Pictures Television, with multiple executive producers attached including Cage himself.
