Watch: Margot Robbie Shares Insight Into Intimate Scenes With 'Wuthering Heights' Costar Jacob ElordiHeathcliff and Catherine might be toxic, but Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi are not slippin' under. Ahead of Emerald Fennell's Wuthering Heights hitting theaters Feb. 13, the Barbie actress admitted that the intimate scenes between the star-crossed literary couple-first depicted in Emily Brontë's iconic 1847 novel-were far less steamy than what was put to page. "I think those scenes often end up being quite technical," Margot told E! News' Will Marfuggi. "They require quite a bit of choreography. There's actually a lot more 'in the moment' feelings in other scenes." Indeed, while Margot and Jacob didn't actually get steamy when the script called for it, the 35-year-old shared that they'd certainly get caught in the heat of the moment when it came to the characters' verbal altercations. "I think sometimes argument scenes end up being the ones where you're like, 'Oh wow we're all kind of building up now and we're all kind of in the moment,'" Margot explained. "It doesn't require a ton of specific choreography."readMargot Robbie and Jacob Elordi Had "Unhinged" Shrines of Each Other in Wuthering Heights Dressing RoomsTo achieve her character's melodramatic intensity, the Babylon alum admitted she channeled her younger self-whom she lovingly referred to as an "emo teen." "I feel like I felt things so potently and the tiniest thing could wound me and when I loved something it was everything," Margot reflected. "Over the years, I guess you figure out how to calibrate your feelings a little bit so you can protect yourself emotionally. As a teenager everything feels like the end of the world and everything feels like the best thing in the world so that's so Cathy to me."Dave Benett/WireImageMeanwhile, Margot and Jacob's costar Alison Oliver-who plays Catherine's foil Isabella Linton-also took notes from herself as a teen. The Conversations With Friends actress joked that her character's obsession with Heathcliff reminded her of her own with a certain musical superstar back in the day. "I actually had a really big crush on Ed Sheeran," Alison told E! News. "When I was younger, I actually used to play the guitar and write songs that I was just so inspired by him that I think I probably had a crush on him, too." To see Margot and Alison's nods to their teenage selves, Wuthering Heights hits theaters Feb. 13. Keep reading for more movies set for the big screen this year...
