Abby De La Rosa is breaking down how she talks to her kids about Nick Cannon's large family tree. De La Rosa, 35, explained that Cannon, 45, does not consider himself "polyamorous" during her Wednesday, February 11, appearance on the "Lovers by Shan" podcast. Instead, the comedian - who shares 12 children with six different women - says that he simply "loves" easily. "That's actually what I have chosen to teach my kids. Daddy loves many people. Daddy has a lot of love to give. That's just who daddy is," De La Rosa continued. De La Rosa shares twins Zion and Zillion, 4, and daughter Beautiful, 3, with Cannon. He is also a father to twins Monroe and Moroccan, 13, with Mariah Carey; Golden Sagon, 8, Powerful Queen, 4, and Rise Messiah, 2, with Brittany Bell; Legendary Love, 2, with Bre Tiesi; Onyx Ice, 2, with LaNisha Cole; and Halo Marie, 2, with Alyssa Scott. Cannon and Scott's son, Zen, died at 5 months old in 2021. Nick Cannon and Abby De La Rosa's Relationship Timeline: Kids and More De La Rosa added that her kids "know their brothers and sisters' parents." However, she claimed that the mothers of Cannon's children do not "have any communication with each other." "We all live very separate lives," she explained. "We're all very individualized." According to De La Rosa, Cannon often orchestrates playdates between his kids by communicating with their mothers, rather than the mothers communicating with each other. "So, in a sense, it feels monogamous," she noted. De La Rosa added that Cannon's baby mamas have all been aware of his lifestyle. Abby De La Rosa/Instagram "But there's never been one person in this. And I just want to reiterate that nobody's been blindsided," she continued. De La Rosa also clapped back at critics of Cannon's family dynamic. "This is a really beautiful family dynamic," she said. "People hate what they don't understand. They don't understand the family dynamic. I'll never expect them to be able to have a smidge of understanding when they see it." On the other hand, De La Rosa admitted it sometimes bothers her to see Cannon coparenting with the other mothers of his children. Nick Cannon's Big Family! What His Partners Have Said About His Parenting "I think in hindsight it sounds cool, but then when you actually get in the grid of it, and you see what you see or you'll see him on trips or you'll see real family dynamics happening, it really triggers you and it really can get under your skin," the internet personality said, later adding, "But he's created such beautiful family dynamics. I just think for women, it's really hard when you see that the person you were just hugged up on one day is a whole is hugged up in the same way with a whole other person ... It's not easy." Despite feeling this way occasionally, De La Rosa called Cannon "the best father, the best provider, the best partner." She also said they have "grown into love" by learning each other's "communication style, friendship style, parenting style." "And when you have kids, it just amplifies everything," she continued. "And not only do we share kids, but we have a child with special needs. [Zillion was diagnosed with autism in 2024.] So that takes everything up a whole other notch. And it's been a journey."
