Meghan McCain is holding firm on her support for Bad Bunny following his Super Bowl 2026 halftime performance. "Been listening to nothing but Bad Bunny since the Super Bowl," McCain, 41, wrote via X on Wednesday, February 11. "Congrats to all the lunatics who have inadvertently turned me into the biggest Bad Bunny stan on the planet now. (My favorite song is Titi Me Pregunto & NuevaYol)." The comments section of the conservative former View cohost's post was virtually split down the middle, with some praising her for joining the fandom and others criticizing her for continuing to speak on the widely debated topic. "Haha, same here! The Super Bowl officially made me a Bad Bunny stan. Tití Me Preguntó and Nuevayol are on repeat can't get enough!" one person wrote in agreement, while another said, "Love you Meghan, Bad Bunny not my kind of music. To each his own. Enjoy!" President Trump Calls Bad Bunny's Super Bowl 2026 Halftime Show 'Disgusting' "Good for you. Just not my kind of music. Is that not ok anymore? Are we allowed to say his music is crap if we don't like it? Or do we all just have to clap our hands like well trained seals?" said a third person, while a fourth wrote, "Oh no! We messed up!! Megan [sic] is a Bad Bunny fan now. My day is ruined!" Bad Bunny took the stage at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on Sunday, February 8, performing a mix of his biggest hits as 128.2 million viewers tuned in. Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin appeared as surprise performers along with cameos from Cardi B, Jessica Alba, Pedro Pascal, Karol G and Alix Earle on a Puerto Rico-inspired set featuring local food vendors, a sugarcane field, farmers, a casita, reggaeton elements and more nods to the Caribbean. The performance drew criticism from conservative figureheads, including President Donald Trump, largely due to the fact that Bad Bunny, 31, performed exclusively in Spanish. "Can we move on now? Appears he rocked it and appears the other show rocked it. Choices were made. It's over. Now everybody S T F U," another X user commented on McCain's post, in reference to Turning Point USA's All-American Halftime Show, an alternative event organized by the conservative nonprofit to protest Bad Bunny's headlining act. (Turning Point USA's All-American Halftime Show featured prerecorded performances from Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett and streamed on multiple platforms on Sunday.) "But the lyrics? Not very family forward/friendly," another person wrote under McCain's post, while someone else declared, "Good for you. I watched Kid Rock all weekend and loved it." Bad Bunny Ishika Samant/Getty Images McCain's latest show of support comes days after she first praised the Latino recording artist's halftime show in a separate post. "I'm sorry but I just genuinely question your taste level if you didn't enjoy the Bad Bunny halftime show," McCain wrote via X on Monday, February 9. "And everything in life doesn't have to be ruined with politics." Conservative political commentator Megyn Kelly responded to the post, writing via X on Monday, "As if we needed further assurance that the 'taste levels' of conservative America do not align with @MeghanMcCain's." But Kelly's criticism didn't stop there. The former Fox News host joined Piers Morgan Uncensored on Monday to further denounce Bad Bunny's halftime show. "Who gives a damn that we have 40 million Spanish speakers? We have 310 million who don't speak a lick of Spanish!" Kelly, 55, said. "This is supposed to be a unifying event for the country. Not for the Latinos. We don't need a Spanish-speaking non-English-performing performer, and we don't need an ICE or America hater featured as our halftime entertainment!" Kelly argued, "Football, that kind of football, is ours! They call it American football. And the halftime show and everything around it must stay quintessentially American. Not Spanish, not Muslim, not anything other than good old-fashioned American apple pie! There should be a meatloaf, maybe some fried chicken and an English-speaking performer. That's what the Super Bowl should be!"
