Influencer Chinnu Papu has died from an apparent suicide at 24. The content creator, who had more than 200,000 Instagram followers, was found unresponsive by neighbors inside her rented home around noon on Monday, February 9. Papu's body was brought to a local hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead, as reported by India TV News and Onmanorama. Her family was informed around 2 p.m. Her death was confirmed as a suicide by a postmortem examination, according to multiple reports, which claim her body will be handed over to her family after an autopsy is completed. Officials said there was no initial evidence of force or assault. They said the former couple got married five years prior, noting that their split seemed to take a toll on Papu. "But she made a conscious effort not to show it outwardly," her father told the outlet. "She would keep everything to herself and rarely shared her problems with us." Her brothers are reportedly urging officials to investigate her death. Ratheesh and Ranjith said they were not aware of their sibling facing any money issues. Prior to her untimely death, Papu built up a large fanbase online as she documented her day-to-day life in a rural village. Fellow content creator Gopikrishna spoke out about Papu's shocking death and said he couldn't believe that someone who walked around "with such a smile" was gone.
