Where was Nancy Guthrie supposed to be when she was reported missing?? The 84-year-old was last seen on Saturday, January 31st, after having dinner with her daughter Annie and son-in-law Tommaso Cioni. According to The Pima County Sheriff's Department, Nancy was first reported missing when a worried church member alerted family when she didn't turn up for Sunday service. But is that what happened?? Over the weekend, a shocking report came out from DailyMail.com when a source told them that Nancy hasn't attended church in person since the COVID-19 pandemic! That was YEARS ago! Since then, she's reportedly been attending a virtual service at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Tucson, per the insider. She's reportedly been a member there for at least 30 years. To make matters worse, church leaders told the outlet that they could not "quantify or confirm" if anyone from the church had noticed she was missing - because there would be no way to know! Instead, their 9 and 10:45 a.m. services on Sunday are live-streamed in a way that it's impossible to see who is watching. So, how did a friend know she skipped?! This new report has been haunting worried sleuths all weekend, but now we're getting some answers... and learning this initial version of the story may not be entirely accurate. A source close to the family told Fox News on Monday that for years Nancy has been gathering with a small group of friends to watch a virtual service - but it's not the Tucson-based one! They'd get together at one of their homes and watch a New York-based service. They didn't say which church they tuned into, but on Tuesday's episode of the Today Show, Hoda Kotb said it was a service led by pastor Michael Rudzena at Good Shepherd New York. Savannah introduced her mom to the pastor over a decade ago. Fox's insider said Nancy was expected to show up to her friend's home like she does every week to watch, and when she didn't show, that's when members of the group grew worried. One pal reached out to Annie to share that Nancy was a no-show and couldn't be located. And that's how the family was first alerted of trouble. It's kinda confusing that it's taken so many sources speaking out on this to get some clarity! Why didn't the police just say this from the beginning?? Hmm.
