The streamer released the first look of the upcoming season starring Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson, which kicks off after restaurateur Jack Sheridan (Henderson) and nurse practitioner Melinda Monroe (Breckenridge) finally got married in the season six finale, after getting engaged in season four. The finale also teased one of Mel's pregnant patients hoping to place her baby with Mel and Jack after her adoptive couple pulls out. "Newly married, Mel and Jack pursue their dream of adopting a baby, while old loves smolder and new threats challenge Virgin River," reads the logline. Tim Matheson, Annette O'Toole, Colin Lawrence, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Zibby Allen, Sarah Dugdale, Marco Grazzini, Kai Bradbury and Kandyse McClure also star. Developed by Sue Tenney, Patrick Sean Smith, Sue Tenney, Amy Palmer Robertson, Roma Roth, Christopher E. Perry, Robyn Carr, Jennifer Monroe, Erin Cardillo and Richard Keith exec produce the series. The series is based on the New York Times bestseller and Harlequin book series of the same name written by author Robyn Carr. The Virgin River collection features more than 20 books, and together they have sold more than 13 million copies.
