What exactly does Nancy Guthrie's alleged captor(s) want?? A local outlet that received a ransom note is exposing the demand. According to journalist JJ McKinney from Tucson ABC affiliate KGUN9, the 84-year-old's kidnapper has demanded $6 million in Bitcoin. The outlet reported in a since-deleted statement over the weekend, per the New York Post: "Multiple ransom notes have been sent out to the media, including one that was sent to us. ... In the letter, the potential kidnappers demanded that the Guthries pay them $6 million before this Monday." The outlet added that Nancy's life is in danger if this second deadline, Monday at 5 p.m. local time, isn't met. Oof. It could be that the police department didn't want this information out there yet to preserve the investigation. It remains unclear. The Pima County Sheriff's Department has maintained that they have no suspects or persons of interest in the case, though investigation efforts ramped up over the weekend, including at Annie and her husband Tommaso Cioni's home.
