Aamir Khan Productions has recently announced the release date of Lahore 1947. The makers have chosen the date to be around Independence Day. It is scheduled to be released on August 13, 2026, during the Independence Day week. The period drama will bring together Sunny Deol, director Rajkumar Santoshi and producer Aamir Khan for the first time. Opening up about the movie, Aamir shared that the late legend Dharmendra has already seen it. He added, "This was one of the favourite scripts of Dharam ji, and I am so glad he could see the film.
