The Puerto Rican rapper and singer, who took home several Grammys last weekend, including album of the year for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, brought his beloved music to football's biggest night. Sporting an all-white look and holding a football, Bad Bunny kicked off his performance with his song "Tití Me Preguntó." The artist also brought a bit of his culture to the global stage to share with everyone, with a set inspired by his hometown community in Puerto Rico. He then brought his iconic "La Casita," from his Puerto Rico residency last year, to Levi's Stadium's football field and invited a whole bunch of celebrities to his house party. This was right before Lady Gaga made a surprise cameo, singing a Latin-inspired rendition of her and Bruno Mars' song, "Die With a Smile." She and Bad Bunny then went on to dance together at what appeared to be the wedding's reception. As the dance party continued, there was also a touching moment when Bad Bunny appeared to give a young child his album of the year Grammy after watching his acceptance speech on a small TV. Ricky Martin later made a surprise appearance towards the end of the show, performing part of the song "LO QUE LE PASÓ A HAWAii." But that was before he brought out flags from nations all over the world in a symbol of unity and love for all. The screens inside Levi's Stadium also featured the message, "The only thing more powerful than hate is love" - something the artist has expressed many times before. While holding a football that displayed the words, "Together we are American," Bad Bunny ended his iconic performance with his hit song "DtMF." Lo único más poderoso que el odio, es el amor.

"I wasn't looking [to win] album of the year at the Grammys and also Latin Grammys. I wasn't looking to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show," he shared, while explaining the intention behind the album. "Then the opportunity to put [my feelings] that I put into the album on one of the biggest stages in the world is something that I never thought." "I was just looking to connect [...] with my history, my culture, and I did it in a very honest way. I only wanted to perform at the residency, and that's it," the "DtMF" artist added. While many people around the globe were anticipating Bad Bunny's Super Bowl performance, some Republicans criticized him as the headliner, leading Turning Point USA to hold a MAGA-friendly alternative "All-American" Super Bowl halftime show, with headliner Kid Rock. However, Bad Bunny's performance was predicted to be one of the most-watched halftime shows in history, notably for his immense global stardom. It will also be the rapper's only performance in the United States, as he opted out of holding U.S. stops on his Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour due to worries of potential ICE raids at his concerts.
