But when those fail to help, he gives Emily an experimental drug with the approval of her previous psychiatrist (Catherine Zeta-Jones). However, the drug appears to carry deadly side effects. This gripping psychological thriller is at once a compelling piece of entertainment in addition to being a searing indictment of the pharmaceutical industry and the exploitation of mental health. Determined to provide a comfortable life for his ex-wife and two young sons, Toby executes the robberies alongside Tanner, a short-tempered ex-con who takes unnecessary risks. Hot on their trail are Texas Rangers Marcus Hamilton (Jeff Bridges), who is weeks away from retirement, and his partner Alberto Parker (Gil Birmingham), who are prepared to take the brothers down in a climactic, cowboy showdown. 3 Binge-Worthy Netflix Thriller Shows to Watch If You Like 'His and Hers' Hell or High Water has been credited by some critics as having revitalized the Western genre for the modern era - and it should come as no surprise that the screenplay came from none other than Yellowstone's Taylor Sheridan.
