Growing up with famous parents can't be easy, and for some celebrity kids it's be downright destructive. Here are some who have completely cut off - or been cut off - from their famous families... 1. Brooklyn Beckham made headlines recently when he shared that he had cut off contact with his famous parents, David and Victoria Beckham, and the rest of his family. Jon Kopaloff / Getty Images, Samir Hussein / Getty Images Following growing speculation of a feud and gossip about family drama centring around Brooklyn's wedding to Nicola Peltz, Brooklyn released a blistering statement on Instagram, accusing his parents of being "performative," spreading lies, and, amongst other things, suggesting Victoria "hijacked" the first dance at his wedding and danced "inappropriately" with him. "I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life," he said. 2. Prince Harry and his wife Meghan have been open about their estrangement from Harry's father, King Charles, and brother, Prince William, and the rest of the royal family since they stepped away from their roles and duties as senior royals in 2020 and started a new life in America after a series of family (and family business) clashes. John Nacion / Getty Images, Pool / Getty Images Although Harry has had a couple of meetings with Charles in recent years and attended his 2023 coronation, their relationship still appears strained, and Harry and William don't seem to be on speaking terms. 3. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's six children have all distanced themselves from their father since their parents separated following a reported incident on a private plane in 2016, in which Brad allegedly injured Angelina and verbally abused the children. Pitt was not arrested or charged in connection with the incident after the FBI completed an investigation in 2016. Monica Schipper / Getty Images, Karwai Tang / Getty Images Zahara, Shiloh and Vivienne all seem to have dropped "Pitt" from their formerly hyphenated Jolie-Pitt surname, while a private social media post reportedly written in 2020 by Pax - the second oldest child after Maddox - surfaced, claiming Pax had said of Brad, "Happy Father's Day to this world class a-hole!! You time and time again prove yourself to be a terrible and despicable person. You have no consideration or empathy toward your four youngest children who tremble in fear when in your presence. You have made the lives of those closest to me a constant hell. You may tell yourself and the world whatever you want, but the truth will come to light someday. So, Happy Father's Day, you f-king awful human being!!!"In 2019, when eldest son Maddox was asked if his relationship with Brad was over, he said, "Whatever happens, happens."Youngest pair Vivienne and Knox are currently, at 17, the only siblings who are still minors, and seem to be in the primary custody of Angelina, with Brad having visitation rights but reportedly "limited" contact with them, in addition to "virtually no contact" with the four adult kids, according to People.
Discussing his children with GQ in 2017, Brad said, "People on their deathbeds don't talk about what they obtained or were awarded. They talk about their loved ones or their regrets-that seems to be the menu. I say that as someone who's let the work take me away. Kids are so delicate. They absorb everything. They need to have their hand held and things explained. They need to be listened to. When I get in that busy work mode, I'm not hearing. I want to be better at that." 4. Angelina Jolie herself has a strained relationship with her dad, actor Jon Voight, and they've gone through several periods of estrangement. She was raised primarily by her mother, and as an adult has had times when she seemed to maintain a relationship with her dad and other times when they haven't been in contact - such as when he didn't know she had married Brad Pitt. J. Vespa / Getty Images While Angelina said Jon was there for her and her kids after her separation from Brad Pitt, reports in 2024 suggested they are not on good terms once again. 5. Drew Barrymore grew up largely without the presence of her dad, actor John Drew Barrymore, and has said that even as a kid she understood he was a "man-child". Her mother, Jaid Barrymore, raised Drew alone and became her manager, which caused friction in their relationship - as did the fact that Jaid would take Drew out partying when she was as young as 8 years old. Drew became emancipated from both her parents when she was 14. Mark Sennet / Getty Images, Frank Edwards / Getty Images Drew did reconcile with her father John in the years before his death in 2004, and while she and her mother have reconnected (with firm boundaries) in recent years, Drew did say in 2023 that she "cannot wait" for her mother to die so she can "gr
