Donald Trump confirmed what we all expected - he will not apologize for that extremely racist post about Barack and Michelle Obama. In case you somehow missed it, the president shared a vile video on Truth Social on Thursday night, in which the couple's heads appeared on the bodies of apes while The Lion Sleeps Tonight plays in the background. It's an incredibly harmful and racist trope that has a long history of being used to dehumanize Black people, so he got slammed online yesterday for what he did. Many called Trump out for his "disgusting behavior" and even accused him of only sharing the racist post to distract from the Epstein files, as he is mentioned thousands and thousands of times in, including allegations of child rape. Related: Chris Harrison SLAMMED For New 'Traditional Marriage' Dating Show After Bachelor Exit Despite all the backlash, though, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt defended Trump, saying it was nothing more than a Lion King meme. She then told everyone to "stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public." It wasn't until 12 hours later that the post was removed. A White House official then blamed a staffer for posting the video in a statement to People: "A White House staffer erroneously made the post. It has been taken down." The staff member's name is unknown. It's also unclear whether that person will be fired, but we wouldn't be surprised if there are no repercussions. Now, Trump is addressing the video... and what he had to say will make you go what the f**k again. While speaking to reporters on board Air Force One on Friday night, the politician claimed he told a staffer to share the video because it discussed alleged anomalies with the voting machines in the 2020 presidential election. As you know, after Joe Biden's victory, Trump falsely claimed the election was stolen from him. However, he insisted neither he nor the employee saw the deeply offensive part in the clip: "I didn't see the whole thing. I looked at the first part, and it was really about voter fraud in the machines, how crooked it is, how disgusting it is. Then I gave it to the people. Generally, they look at the whole thing. But I guess somebody didn't." Yeah, sure... But when asked if he would apologize for the video, he refused to do so! In his mind, he didn't do anything wrong! Trump said: "No, I didn't make a mistake. I mean I look at a lot of thousands of things. I looked at the beginning of it. It was fine. I guess it was a take off on The Lion King and certainly it was a very strong post in terms of voter fraud. Nobody knew that that was in the end. If they would have seen it and probably they would have had the sense to take it down." Oh, and he later dared to say he was "the least racist president you've had in a long time." That comes after refusing to apologize for posting a racist video about Michelle and Barack. WTF. Let us be clear - Trump's narrative about what allegedly happened doesn't matter. It's his account. He's the president. He should do the decent thing, say he is sorry, and condemn racism! However, he hasn't and he won't! And don't get us started on his immigration policy, in which racism is at the heart of it. The nerve of this guy to say he's "the least racist president." Thoughts, Perezcious readers?
