by Mychal ThompsonBuzzFeedBuzzFeed Staff You know Steve-O, the infamous veteran of the Jackass franchise, where a bunch of action sports athletes and stunt performers subject themselves to dangerous pranks and gross-out challenges. JC Olivera / Variety via Getty Images Steve-O (real name Stephen Glover) was certainly one of the wildest of the bunch. And after several TV shows, a bunch of movies, and a public struggle with substance abuse, Steve-O has a podcast where he has honest conversations with celebrities - sometimes too honest. (C)Paramount/Courtesy Everett Collection On a Feb. 3 episode of Steve-O's Wild Ride, Steve-O had a conversation with Canadian actor and comedian Harland Williams that left the internet "truly disgusted and disappointed." Gilbert Carrasquillo / GC Images When Harland pressed Steve-O to talk about politics, it became apparent that maybe he should've left the topic alone. The Half Baked star explained why he's not afraid of ICE (being from Canada), and boasted how he got his citizenship. "I don't care if you're from Canada, China, Russia, Mexico, whatever, there's a process, and I did it... If I did it wrong and I got caught, I'd have the balls to go, 'Okay, you got me. I'm going home,'" Harland explained. "But I won't do that to begin with because I respect the boundaries of every country." Steve-O''s Wild Ride Steve-O then asked, "Why is it that so many people who don't have this respect that you have are murderers?," to which Harland asked, "Say that again?" Steve-O''s Wild Ride Steve-O then claimed, "So many of these people who are illegally in America, it's like the majority of them are murderers." Steve-O''s Wild Ride "No, that's a fallacy. That's a huge fallacy," Harland responded. Steve-O''s Wild Ride Then, Steve-O added, "They're bad hombres," referring to President Trump's infamous statement during the 2016 presidential debate about border security. Steve-O''s Wild Ride During a 2016 presidential debate in Las Vegas, Trump notoriously said one of his "first acts" as president would be to "get all the drug lords" out of the country. "We have some bad hombres here, and we're goign to get them out." Harland attempted to use statistics to debunk Steve-O's claim, to which he replied, "Well, okay, fair point. But a great many of them are trafficking fentanyl." Steve-O''s Wild Ride Harland once again attempted to speculate a justification why a person would be involved in the illegal drug trade and challenge Steve-O's claims, while doubling down on why "murder doesn't make sense" as a blanket stereotype. But the damage was done. A clip of the conversation is going viral, and people are not happy at all hearing these offensive remarks from Steve-O, the guy who used to stick fireworks up his butt on TV. "Steve-O isn't talking 'politics' in this clip. He's being racist and peddling white supremacist talking points," one Reddit user wrote. "This shit has nothing to do with politics. When he's talking about illegals, murderers and fentanyl dealers he doesn't mean Ukrainians, South Africans or Europeans he's talking about brown people. You guys need to stop painting these clowns as politically misinformed misguided poor souls. He's perfectly informed, he knows what he's saying, he's just being racist." Matthew Simmons / WireImage for World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc "Not surprised steve-o says some stupid shit he only thinks about because someone told him something that he did zero research on," someone else said. Ethan Miller / Getty Images This person said, "Dude that made a living by getting concussions on a regular basis is an uneducated racist? I am shocked!" Via youtu.be "People who talk like that are useful idiots who feed on bad information from their handlers," another user wrote. "They don't look into anything themselves, they just parrot what they're told. Regurgitated propaganda." "Damn Steve O, you suck," one person wrote, while another said, "Full circle back to being a clown, but not a good one at that. Fu*k, I've lost all my respect," referencing Steve-O's former career as a professional clown. @steveo / Via youtu.be Let us know what you think in the comments. Comments
