A shocking new update in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie! KOLD-TV anchor Mary Coleman revealed on X (Twitter) on Friday night that the news station received a "new message" regarding Savannah Guthrie's mom's abduction. According to the journalist, they got it on Friday morning, and the IP address is different from the one that sent the initial note. However, she shared that "it appears the sender used the same type of secure server to hide their IP address." She added: "The new note contains something the senders seem to think will prove to investigators they're the same people who sent the first note." Other than that, Mary did not share any details about what's in the message. However, she told CNN on Friday that she doesn't think law enforcement will classify this second note as a ransom note like the first one since there's no mention of a deadline. Remember the initial ransom note (which has yet to be verified as legit) had two deadlines - one passed on Thursday, and the second is on Monday. And according to TMZ's Harvey Levin, who also received the note, the second deadline "is far more consequential." So scary. For now, the first message stated that the 84-year-old is "OK, but scared" and that she was "aware of the letter and the demands" - involving the handing over of millions via Bitcoin. Time is of the essence, though, to find Nancy. Pima County Sheriff's Department issued a statement on Friday, saying investigators are reviewing the "new message" to verify the "authenticity" at this time: "The FBI and Pima County Sheriff's Department are aware of a new message regarding Nancy Guthrie. Investigators are actively inspecting the information provided in the message for its authenticity. While this is one new piece of information, the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff's Department are still asking anyone with tips to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI." The police department then mentioned the FBI is still offering a reward of "up to $50,000 for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance."
