Ozheads rejoice: the movie event of the year is finally coming to streaming. Last November, Wicked: For Good concluded the epic two-chapter prequel story that began with 2024's Wicked. Based on the book and the award-winning Broadway musical, the films tell the origin story of Glinda the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of the West, who were once friends before becoming bitter rivals in the magical land of Oz. Immediately following the events of Wicked, the second half of the story of Glinda (Ariana Grande) and Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) follows Elphaba as she goes into exile in the Ozian forest, opposing the Wizard's (Jeff Golblum) regime and saving the maligned talking animals. Meanwhile, Glinda revels in her popularity among the citizens of Oz, enjoying her new residence in the Emerald City palace.
