Nina Dobrev is "off the market" following her split from Shaun White - but her "new man" might surprise you. Dobrev, 37, shared a hilarious update on her relationship status via her Instagram Story on Thursday, February 5, joking that she may have even found The One. In the upload, the Vampire Diaries alum crouched on the floor and hugged a Doberman named Winston. "The new man in my life," she playfully captioned the reposted pic, which was originally shared by Tara Garlinghouse. "Officially off the market. Sorry boys." Garlinghouse previously wrote alongside the pic, "A love affair @nina & Winston." While giving the pooch a kiss, Dobrev rocked a black, loosely fitted top and a headband. Dobrev's post comes after her September 2025 split from White, 39. At the time, Us Weekly reported that Dobrev was "devastated" about the breakup. A source told Us that Dobrev and White, who were together for five years, were working out the "next steps" for the home they shared, which they were in the process of renovating. According to the source, both Dobrev and White "wanted a family." The insider added that there was no situation where "one wanted [a family] more than the other." One month after their split, Dobrev hilariously dressed up as Jennifer Tilly's character Tiffany from the 1998 horror movie Bride of Chucky. Her costume featured a white dress with a satin neckline and sheer lace bodice. The frock was finished with a flowy skirt with a thigh-high slit. Underneath, she wore lace stockings and accessorized with a temporary tattoo of a heart and Chucky's name written on her chest. She got even more into character with a blonde wig, smokey eyeshadow, black lips and razor-thin eyebrows. To seal the deal, she held a Chucky doll. Dobrev and White sparked dating rumors in February 2020 when they posed similar photos during a trip to South Africa. Us broke the news in April 2020 that the couple were officially dating. The following month, the duo made their relationship Instagram official. In 2021, White exclusively opened up to Us about their dynamic. "We have a nice little system of how to stay in touch [and] plane tickets are pretty much booked for any opportunity that we can go see one another," he said.
