ITV / Via x.com From standing on business when she's disrespected to schooling everyone with her immaculate posture, she is The People's Princess. ITV / Via x.com However, there is one recent episode that made me love her even more than I already do, which I didn't think was possible. And it's none other than...the baby challenge! ITV / Via Instagram: @loveisland The baby challenge - where each couple takes care of a "baby" for a day - is, in my opinion, one of the worst episodes of the series because the show is called Love Island, not Baby Island!!!!! ITV Jokes aside, it's mostly a mid episode because we're usually watching couples in their 20s who just met six weeks ago pretend that they want to raise a child together without freaking out. And, for the first time that I can remember, one of the women said that, actually, they don't want to have children in the real world.
Am I the only one who hates the baby episode? it's always so cringe and pointless.. bring back the tweets challenge!!!! #LoveIslandUK #loveisland pic.twitter.com/w2ms5ywO5S- metgirl (@loveislandxo_) July 31, 2025 Via Twitter: @loveislandxo_ And though that might seem like a small thing because there are plenty of women and men who don't want to have children (a 2023 Pew Research survey found that 57% of men say they want kids, and only 45% of women do)... Living a child-free life isn't something that is often talked about on a reality TV dating show where the goal is to hopefully find someone to marry. But thanks to Yas, and a couple of the other girls, the Mallorca winds on Love Island are changing. ITV / Via Instagram: @loveisland She also sat down with Jamie and explicitly told him how she feels about having children in the future: "I don't need a physical child. I know a lot of people say, 'Oh, it's just because you're young. You'll change your mind, sort of thing.' But I genuinely don't think I will." @loveisland The baby challenge has brought on some questions about Jamie and Yasmine's future 👶 #LoveIsland ♬ original sound - Love Island - Love Island ITV / Via tiktok.com And viewers at home absolutely LOVED the child-free representation they were seeing on screen: shoxford / Via reddit.com Individual-Gur-7292 / Via reddit.com travelsoverkids / Via instagram.com maisy / Via tiktok.com emily31112 / Via instagram.com And the best part? Yas wasn't the only woman who said she doesn't want kids! Megan also wrote down that she wants "0" kids, and Toni is in the same boat (for now, at least).
