Influencer Hannah Collins Peters got candid about grief after the death of her 11-year-old son, Jude. "I know that no one's grief journey is the same and that's ok," Hannah, 33, captioned a black-and-white photo of herself holding stuffed animals. "I know that to some, sleeping with my son's teddy bear urn wrapped in his bedtime blankie with his sleepy-time Ellie (his favorite elephant) might seem strange. I am grasping at anything and everything I can to simply help me face the nights and days without completely falling apart 1000% of the time." Hannah, who is married to Sullivan Peters, added, "Right now that means cuddling my swaddled bear and his Ellie all night. At this point I am facing this one second at a time. Not one day, not one hour and not one minute. Taking it one single second at a time. Can I be honest? Every second hurts so deeply." The influencer concluded her post by asking Jesus to "hold" her. "This pain is crushing," she wrote. (RCDP is an autosomal disorder caused by mutations in genes and causes seizures, shorter limbs, developmental delays and more. The average life expectancy is under 10 years old.) "Everyday hurts without my boy," Hannah captioned the clip. "I know that in heaven there is no more suffering, no more pain, no more seizures, no more kidney stones, no more RCDP and no more tears. But as a mommy when I look back on Jude's life I hope people remember him for his JOY." She added that although her son "endured suffering," he had "many days of pure joy." "When I was pregnant with Jude they told us they didn't know if he would be compatible with life outside the womb," she shared. "On April 17, 2014, our first miracle took place as Jude let out his victorious warrior cry." Hannah continued, "In the past nine years we have faced countless medical battles. We have heard diagnosis after diagnosis and we have been told the absolute worst. Yet after every grim diagnosis, there is a victory! Jude has been defying the odds for 9 beautiful years and his Life is a true miracle and testament to the goodness of Jesus."
