The Hollywood studio, led by CEO Jon Feltheimer, posted a net loss attributable to shareholders at $46.2 million, compared to a year-earlier $ $21.9 million loss. During the latest quarter to Dec. 31, 2025, overall revenue rose to $724.3 million, against $628.2 million in the same period of last year. That beat an analyst forecast for the latest overall third quarter revenues at Lionsgate to come in at $705.9 million. The adjusted OIBDA came to $85.3 million, against a year-earlier $115.2 million, and the trailing 12-month library revenue grew 10 percent to $1.05 billion. Lionsgate is the studio behind John Wick, The Hunger Games and other movie franchises. The biggest box office performers during the third quarter included Paul Feig's The Housemaid and Ruben Fleischer's Now You See Me: Now You Don't. The sequel The Housemaid's Secret is expected to begin production later this year, and the profit contribution from The Housemaid is set to continue into the fourth quarter and fiscal 2027. Lionsgate's motion picture segment revenue rose 35 percent to $421.2 million, against a year-earlier $311.4 million. That offset TV production revenue falling to $303.1 million, against $404.6 million in the same period of fiscal 2025, due to the timing of episodic deliveries, which was partly offset by strong TV library revenue. Major Lionsgate TV series titles include Apple TV's The Studio, Netflix's The Hunting Wives and The Rainmaker, the rookie USA Network series. The studio said it had secured renewals for 12 of its 13 current scripted series. "Although there are many disruptive forces reshaping our industry - the rise of AI, the power of social platforms and the increased tempo of M&A, to name just a few - we believe that we are prepared to adapt to all of them as a dynamic, agile and entrepreneurial company positioned for sustainable growth," Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer said in prepared remarks during an after-market analyst call on Thursday.
