We are reeling over the shocking news Kid, of iconic Kid 'n Play fame, just revealed. The longtime popular performer, who has been in the industry for years as part of the legendary duo, sat down for a jaw-dropping TV interview that aired on Good Morning America just now on Thursday AM. In it, the artist and entertainer - whose full name is Christopher Reid - revealed for the very first time that he had a HEART transplant last year after struggling for some time with heart-related issues. Doctors first determined in July that he had congestive heart failure and put him on a treatment plan - but his symptoms were only worsening. More testing revealed he needed immediate care and he was told to get to the ER, where he was put in the ICU and learned he needed a transplant. OMG!!! They told us the performer had been all but ready to go out on a comedy tour a few months ago when he started having serious problems with his heart. One thing led to another, Kid got himself checked out by specialists, and before you know it, his rep was getting the jaw-dropping news. The rep said: "A few months ago, I was about to send him out on a comedy tour, and I got a call from him in the hospital saying he was having trouble with his heart. About a week later, he called me back and told me that he had a heart transplant." Whoa! Just like that! Thankfully, the rep confirmed to us what the world now knows about all this stuff: that Kid is doing well with the new heart after surgery. In the rep's own words: "He's doing fine and recovering, and is in good health." And that's seriously all that matters!!!
