She told TODAY that she had been on the medication for nearly a year and had lost 34 pounds. Jean Catuffe / Getty Images "I feel great," she told People. "I feel really good and healthy. I feel light physically and light mentally." Eugene Gologursky / Getty Images "I just can do more," she added. "I'm more active. My joints don't hurt as much. I just feel like something as simple as just getting down is a lot easier for me. And I do it a lot faster. I feel like I have a lot of energy, and it's great. I just feel pretty good about it." In the mirror selfie, she's wearing a tank top and shorts while brushing her teeth - and looks noticeably slimmer. @serenawilliams For comparison, here she is last March at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party before she says she consistently started the medication: Phillip Faraone / Getty Images The post came days after Serena gave another interview to TODAY, where she said she was still taking the medication and credited it with improving her blood sugar and cholesterol. Matthew Stockman / Getty Images "It's more about ... not even the weight loss," she explained, "but it's about longevity." Adam Davy - Pa Images / Getty Images Serena also shared that she intends to continue taking GLP-1s long-term. "I think, for me, GLP-1s are a lifetime thing," she said. "There's a time when you can take it differently, but I feel like it's just a part of my story and a part of my health journey."
