Mary Carillo is taking over for Savannah Guthrie at the 2026 Winter Olympics. NBC Sports announced the news on Wednesday, February 4, revealing that Carillo would be joining Terry Gannon to host the Opening Ceremony, which is set to take place on Friday, February 6. "Savannah Guthrie, who had been scheduled to host the Opening Ceremony with Gannon, will no longer travel to Milan as she focuses on being with her family during this difficult time," the NBC Sports press release read on Wednesday.
