"It was casual," the insider tells Us of Perry, 40, and Trudeau's Monday, July 28, dinner date in Montreal, Canada. "They had been in touch for the last month and have a few mutuals in the music industry." While the Grammy nominee "doesn't have a lot of extra time right now" she was able to work out a break in her worldwide Lifetimes Tour schedule and "agreed to see" Trudeau, 53, the insider explains. "This is all new to her as she hasn't dated in so many years and it's been exciting to put herself out there again," the source continues, referring to Perry's newly-single status following her split from fiancé Orlando Bloom earlier this year.
