Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Garcelle Beauvais is opening up about a "scary" experience that left her in handcuffs. "It was 9:30 at night, I was in my pajamas. I had a beautiful day, I mean, just peaceful, my kids were out of the house, luckily," Beauvais, 59, recalled during a recent appearance on Good Morning America. "Next thing I know, helicopters over my house, cops swarm my street, bull horns telling me to 'come out of the house.'" Beauvais continued, "I came outside and there were weapons and weapons, rifles pointing at me. The cops were calling me to come to them, and my hands are up, and I'm screaming, 'I'm alone, I'm the homeowner.'" The Bravo personality explained that she was confused why she had to be "handcuffed" because she didn't do "anything," but the officers told her it was "protocol." RHOBH's Garcelle Beauvais Shares Update on Her Relationship With Son Jax "[It was] the scariest thing I've ever gone through," Beauvais said. "For kids or whomever thinks that swatting is funny, it is dangerous. It is wasteful of the police's time and so scary. I'm just so happy my boys weren't home." (Beauvais is the mom of three sons: Oliver, 34, whom she shares with her first husband Daniel Saunders, and twins Jaz and Jaid, 18, whom she shares with ex-husband Michael Nilon.) After experiencing the incident, Beauvais shared that she received "a lot of love and support." The LAPD confirmed to ABC on January 25 that police responded to a call of a shooting around 9:20 p.m. They "found no evidence of a shooting," but a "swatting report was completed." While none of her children were there to experience the incident with her, Beauvais has long been open about motherhood. "As much as I love what I have accomplished so far as an actress, I have to say that being a mom - with all of its challenges and rewards - has been the best role of my life," she wrote in a 2020 blog post. "Growing up, I was the youngest of seven children, so babies and kids have always been around me. My mom has 25 grandchildren - yep, 25." She added, "I always wanted to have kids, and when I dreamed about my future, I pictured having a boy first and then a girl - the perfect nuclear family. Well, we can't always have it our way. But I have to say, I got really lucky!" She then recalled having Oliver "very young." Andy Cohen Had 'Serious' Talk With Garcelle Beauvais Before 'RHOBH' Exit "I was modeling in New York when I met his dad," she explained. "We immediately fell in love and got married after only two months. Crazy, right?! Two years later, Oliver appeared on the scene." Beauvais then shared that after her divorce with Saunders, she met Nilon, 58, and wanted to have more kids, but getting pregnant again wasn't as easy. "I learned the hard way that trying to have babies when you're older is a whole different ball game," she wrote. "It took blood, sweat, lots of tears, and most importantly, fertility treatments."
