Justin Baldoni gushed about Blake Lively's appearance during the very early days of working on It Ends With Us. According to TMZ on Monday, the director sent the Gossip Girl alum a voice memo, in which he told her he got literal "chills" over how "beautiful" she looked in pictures from a costume fitting session! He said: "Hey Blake, I hope the fitting was super successful. Thank you for sending me those pictures. That was really cool. I was in the department head meeting and I was waiting for them to load and I legit got the chills when I saw it. You look beautiful. It's going to work so well." Whoa. In fact, they were so early in the project that they had not even cast the younger version of Blake's character, Lily Bloom, which TMZ reported they also chatted about in the voice note. She and Justin seemed to be on friendly terms during pre-production - perhaps he was a bit too friendly then, given the comments he made above. Regardless, as we heard in a different pre-shooting voice memo, Blake considered the Jane The Virgin alum a "friend" at one point. They had such a solid friendship and "great trust" in each other at the start that she could even come and ask him to change the filming schedule for the movie! But we all know very well now that didn't last! Their relationship soured once filming started. The Simple Favor actress accused Justin of sexual harassment and retaliation. And here we are now, waiting for the courtroom showdown to begin. Blake and Justin will go to trial in May, so we have some time before it all happens.
