There is an update in the case of Savannah Guthrie's missing mother... and it is one we don't want to hear. As we previously reported, Nancy Guthrie was reported missing on Sunday. Law enforcement called the 84-year-old's Arizona home a "crime scene." They also noted she is cognitively healthy, so she didn't just become confused and wander off. No, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos thinks she was abducted instead. Oof. Related: Savannah Guthrie Speaks Out Amid Mother's Disappearance Police are frantically searching for Nancy right now, and time is of the essence because she has a daily medication she has not taken in roughly two days, which could lead to "fatal" consequences. And unfortunately, they are nowhere close to finding her. According to NBC's Liz Kreutz on Tuesday morning, police said that although they have received many tips from the public, they "still don't have a solid lead." Oh no. That said, they hope they discovered something that will hopefully give them more answers. Nanos confirmed to Kreutz that they found DNA evidence at the crime scene: "We took some samples that we hope will have profile of a DNA, profile that gives us some identification as to what we're looking at."
