Turning Point USA finally released its roster of performers for their so-called rival Super Bowl halftime show - and some fans don't think the reveal was worth the wait. The All American Halftime Show, organized in protest of Bad Bunny's performance at Super Bowl 60 on Sunday, February 8, will feature Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett. The show was organized by Turning Point USA, the right-wing conservative political organization founded by late activist Charlie Kirk and now helmed by his widow, Erika Kirk. After Turning Point waited just days before the big game to announce the lineup, some fans were underwhelmed by the alleged lack of star power. Nearly Half of NFL Players Disapprove of Bad Bunny Playing Super Bowl Halftime "Anyone else disappointed? 😮💨 Honestly your marketing team could have did a better job on this flyer and advertising this event," one person wrote via X. Another person commented on the announcement, "I'm not a fan of this lineup. I think I'll skip both, put on some vinyl, and play board games with the family." "I knew it would be Kid Rock and 3 people I've never heard of," a commenter wrote, which was a common refrain among dissatisfied fans. View this post on Instagram An overwhelming number of people said they had hoped Jason Aldean would be featured on the Turning Point halftime show lineup. Aldean, one of the biggest names in country music, has long been outspoken about his conservative politics and appeared at a Turning Point USA event alongside his wife, Brittany Aldean, in December 2025. In addition to Aldean, a large number of people were hoping Creed would be bringing their talents to the alternative halftime show. "Y'all remember that TPUSA Halftime show they announced and everyone was like 'Get Creed' and 'I hope they don't get someone like Kid Rock,'" one person wrote. "They got Kid Rock...🤦♂️." Turning Point USA has yet to announce a location for the halftime show or if fans will be able to attend in person. The organization has also not specified exactly when the show will air on Sunday. The show will be broadcast on Turning Point's social media channels and networks like Charge! and Real America's Voice. Turning Point USA announced the halftime alternative programming in October, promising a show that would preach "values, faith and freedom." The organization was motivated to curate the show to counterbalance Bad Bunny's future performance at the Super Bowl, which has been criticized by some because the Puerto Rican-born rapper performs in Spanish. The NFL's selection even drew the ire of President Donald Trump, who called the decision "absolutely ridiculous." Bad Bunny Shares Powerful Message to ICE in 2026 Grammys Acceptance Speech "I've never heard of him," Trump, 79, said during an interview with Newsmax in October 2025. "I don't know who he is. I don't know why they're doing it. It's, like, crazy." Bad Bunny - who took home Album of the Year at the 2026 Grammys on Sunday, February 1 - has taken the criticism in stride. During his Saturday Night Live hosting gig in October 2025, he joked that non-Spanish speaking football fans had "four months to learn." Super Bowl 60 between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks goes down Sunday, February 8, from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
