Yaccarino has been named the CEO of eMed Population Health, a digital health platform that partners with companies and government agencies to manage programs for GLP-1 weightloss drugs. She comes to the role after leaving the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) in July, after two years in the role. Yaccarino did not say why she was departing X, but the move came after a bumpy ride at the company, including Elon Musk loosening X's content moderation policies, which led to hate speech and inappropriate content on the platform and spooked some advertisers. In the new role, she will work with the company to form partnerships with additional national and global employers, as well as the government. The company's digital platform features at-home diagnostics, proctor-led screenings and physician-guided prescribing that can be used for employee health benefits and government health programs globally, according to the press release. "The healthcare industry has been disrupted by technology, but not yet completely transformed by it. There is an opportunity to combine technology, lifestyle, and data in a new powerful way through the digital channels that impact consumers directly in ways that have never been done before," Yaccarino said in the press release. "To be a leader in today's healthcare marketplace, companies need to have a fearless tenacity that allows them to not only grow, but to also be brave enough to step forward and redefine an entire industry. We are very well-positioned to be that tenacious leader, striving toward our ultimate goal of improving global healthcare outcomes through our groundbreaking services and platforms," she continued.
