There's been a major update in the search for Savannah Guthrie's mother. As we've been following, authorities are frantically searching for Nancy Guthrie after she was reported missing on Sunday afternoon in Arizona. The 84-year-old was last seen by her family on Saturday night and is said to be cognitively healthy - meaning, she likely didn't just get confused and wander off. Law enforcement already warned that initial signs inside her home pointed to a "grave concern" for her safety, but now there's even more. In a press conference on Monday morning, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos revealed that after a more thorough look around her home, her home is believed to be a crime scene, and it is likely there may be a criminal element to her disappearance. Oh, no. All they're asking for now is helping in locating the missing woman. Nanos stressed: "We believe now, after we process that crime scene, that we do, in fact, have a crime scene, that we do, in fact have a crime, and we're asking the community's help." As for why they don't believe she just "walked right out" of the home, Nanos reiterated that she is "limited in her mobility," explaining: "There are other things at the scene that indicate there was a... she did not leave on her own. We know that." Jeez. What have they discovered? So unnerving and heartbreaking for this family. There's a lot still left to investigate, such as if this was a targeted incident in any way, but the main focus remains on getting Nancy home. Efforts to locate Nancy remain underway in the areas surrounding her residence, but so far, they've found nothing. Homicide detectives as well as other agencies are helping in the search. According to the Sheriff, Nancy is in need of an undisclosed daily medication - and if she doesn't get it within 24 hours, "it could be fatal." That puts more pressure on this investigation!
