Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and more beloved faces are taking center stage in The Devil Wears Prada 2 trailer. Hathaway, 43, and Streep, 76, have their highly anticipated reunion as Andy Sachs and Miranda Priestly in 20th Century Studios' Sunday, February 1, trailer, which sees Andy returning to Runway magazine as the new features editor. But while fans have been waiting for the pair to reconnect, Miranda couldn't be less enthused. "Sorry, who is this? Do you know her? Do I know her?" Miranda asks Stanley Tucci's Nigel, who reminds her that Andy was "one of the Emilys" from the first film. "One of the what?" Miranda replies. Andy also bumps into her former nemesis Emily (Blunt), who asks whether she's having a "hallucination." New 'Devil Wears Prada 2' Teaser Shows Andy Reuniting With Emily "You know what's funny? Is you've changed. You're much more confident," Emily later says, making Andy smile before adding: "Kept those eyebrows though, didn't you?" The film, directed by David Frankel, follows Andy's return to Runway as Miranda navigates a new media landscape. The pair soon reconnect with Emily, now the head of a luxury brand, who may be able to help her once overbearing boss with her struggling brand. Based on Lauren Weisberger's 2003 novel of the same name, The Devil Wears Prada became an instant classic in 2006, when fans were first introduced to recent graduate and aspiring journalist Andy after she landed a role as Miranda's assistant at Runway magazine. Andy struggles to juggle Miranda's requests before eventually quitting. View this post on Instagram Years later, rumors began swirling of a sequel, which was officially confirmed in 2025. Eagle-eyed fans spotted several cast members filming over the summer, with Tucci back to reprise his role as Miranda's right-hand man, Nigel, and Blunt returning as Emily. The film will also see several newcomers, including Kenneth Branagh, who will play Miranda's new husband. Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Pauline Chalamet, Helen J. Shen, Conrad Ricamora, Caleb Hearon, Rachel Bloom and Patrick Brammall have also been confirmed as cast members. Andy's ex-boyfriend Nate, played by Adrian Grenier, will not be back for the sequel, however, Entertainment Weekly reported in 2025. Hathaway, for her part, opened up about filming the long-awaited sequel during an interview with Vogue published on Sunday. Which 'Devil Wears Prada' Stars Are - And Aren't - Returning for the Sequel "I heard over the radio: 'Miranda Priestly is walking,'" Hathaway said. "Meryl, as Miranda, had started down the hallway ahead of me - I was maybe 50 feet behind her - and seeing her from the back was practically psychedelic. I just felt so many portals open up at that moment. I was 22 again, but it was still now. Thankfully, this time, she didn't stay in character the entire time, so we had a lot of laughs." The Devil Wears Prada 2 hits theaters on May 1, 2026.
