Kicking off at 3:30 p.m. ET/12:30 p.m. PT, the 2026 premiere ceremony, hosted by first-time Grammy nominee Darren Criss, will hand out dozens of awards live from Peacock Theater in Los Angeles ahead of the Grammy Awards. The event will stream live on the Recording Academy's YouTube channel (below) and on live.GRAMMY.com. Presenters for the non-televised ceremony include Dave Koz, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Edgar Barrera, Jesse Welles, Sierra Hull, Trombone Shorty and Jimmy Jam, a five-time Grammy winner, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and former Recording Academy board of trustees chair. Criss and Helen J Shen, Spiritbox, Tasha Cobbs Leonard and Zara Larsson are also set to perform. "The Premiere Ceremony is one of the most exciting parts of Grammy weekend," Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy, said in a statement. "Witnessing the ceremony, you see the wide range of genres and crafts that make up our music community, and all the people who push music forward. I can't wait to see this year's lineup of presenters and performers kick off Grammy Sunday and help celebrate as we present the first awards of the day." Heading into this year's awards show, Kendrick Lamar leads with nine nominations, including for album, record and song of the year for album GNX and its hit single "Luther." Other nominees for album of the year are Bad Bunny for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, Justin Bieber for SWAG, Sabrina Carpenter for Man's Best Friend, Clipse, Pusha T & Malice for Let God Sort Em Out, Lady Gaga for MAYHEM, Leon Thomas for MUTT and Tyler, The Creator for CHROMAKOPIA. The 2026 Grammy Awards, hosted by Trevor Noah, will broadcast live on CBS and stream live and on demand on Paramount+ at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
