Pete Davidson debuted "The Pete Davidson Show" via Netflix on Friday, January 30 - and it went exactly how you'd expect it to go. The 32-year-old comedian sat down with BFF MGK for his first episode, which kicked off with them talking about ... toilets. Yes, Davidson and MGK, 35, discussed the importance of bidets and how Davidson refuses to use the one on the Japanese toilet in his home because "I'm afraid I'll love it and then I won't be able to, you know, go anywhere else because I can't shoot water up my a**hole." Davidson and MGK's podcast episode took a more serious turn at some points as they briefly discussed their respective sobriety journeys. "I think we both thought we were going to die pretty young," Davidson said during Friday's episode. "I'm equally impressed by both of us. Also been able to keep it going, which it's now past that point where it's like ... we've had troubles while sober and you're like, 'Yeah, it's fine.'" MGK noted that their "bipolar has synced up" since they've both gotten sober. "Every time I'm having a manic episode, you're good," MGK said. "Every time you're having one, I'm good. ... It goes back and forth." Pete Davidson and Machine Gun Kelly's Best BFF Moments Over the Years Davidson added, "Thank God, because we would be dead, for sure." When reflecting on how far they've come, both MGK and Davidson were quick to laugh when sharing memories about the early drug-fueled days of their friendship. Keep scrolling for some of their wildest moments: A Different Career Path for Pete Davidson Davidson recalled one time that he "got so f***ing high" at MGK's birthday party that he pretended to work for the tequila brand Casamigos. "Before you got to the party, you had a Casamigos hat. So you just happened to wear that," MGK recalled. "But I had them sponsor the party, so it was Casamigos there and you were so high you were walking around passing out Casamigos shots." Anna Webber/Getty Images for Redken 5th Avenue NYC MGK's drummer JP "Rook" Cappelletty - among other people at the party - thought Davidson was "a part-time bartender" at the event. Davidson explained that he felt the need to "entertain myself" while high on cocaine "for the second time in my life." Filming 'Big Time Adolescence' - And Almost Getting Kicked Out of a Hotel While working on the film, the duo got high on mushrooms, and MGK "thought it was a good idea to get in the koi pond" at the hotel where they were staying. Davidson came up with "the perfect scheme" to ask the front desk manager for oat milk so MGK could get into the pond. "You get in the pond with the umbrella for five seconds and the guy just goes - he had a f***ing container of oat milk. The guy was so sweet," Davidson remembers. "He has this big container of oak milk and he just goes, 'Out!'" MGK clarified they would "never" do this now. "We're sober now and fully castable in movies, by the way," he quipped. What Happened at the 'Big Time Adolescence' Premiere? Davidson's memory about the 2020 event wasn't the best, so MGK recounted his experience. "We ate pasta and I was so high, I didn't wipe my mouth. So I went to this f***ing premiere," MGK said. "To this day, I just see these f***ing [pictures]. First off, my hair looks like it did cocaine, [and] I have these red spots." Machine Gun Kelly Shares How He Bonds With Pete Davidson Over 'Being Dads' An A-List Easter When "things were bad" for Davidson, he went to stay with MGK, who invited the comedian to an Easter celebration. Davidson showed up carrying "40s of Olde English [beer]" and "duct tape" so they "could party." MGK ended up taking Davidson - with his alcohol - to Sandra Bullock's house. "I'm holding two 40s and I have a f***ing blunt in my mouth. I think Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, everyone you don't want to see you like this [was there]," Davidson said. "We just ended up playing basketball with all their kids the whole entire time because we were so embarrassed." MGK added, "I still wonder what Jen Aniston thinks of that day." Attending the Golden Globes But Never Getting Asked Back Davidson admitted he has not been invited back to the awards ceremony since he attended with MGK in 2019. "It was two manic, un-media-trained boys who got thrown in suits and were, like, 'Let's go to this prestigious awards show," MGK said. Davidson added, "And we smoked a joint in the elevator and took a picture of it, and it went everywhere." MGK joked, "We gotta do a damn apology press run."
