Sydney Sweeney is getting honest about her ex. As we're sure you know, before the Euphoria star got cuddly with her new man Scooter Braun, she broke off her engagement to her longtime boyfriend Jonathan Davino. In her new Cosmopolitan cover story, she talked about her ex and how she's been navigating her love life since then. Syd said in the interview: "I was in a relationship for a very long time, for seven and a half years, and I never talked about it." This relationship with Jonathan lasted throughout most of her twenties! She confessed that she was always very guarded about it - especially after her career blew up: "I was very private. No one would ever see us. I think it's important to have some things for myself. I understand that I'm a public person, but I'm still in my 20s. I'm still figuring out love, and it's hard to do that with millions of people who have their own opinions of what that looks like." She wants something new and less-private: "At the same time, for all of my 20s, I put my head down and focused on work-and now I want to experience things. But it's hard deciding that I want to experience love in the public eye. I'm just navigating it all." But trying to date hasn't been the easiest, either! Despite what you may think for someone like Sydney who could probably date any guy she wanted, she says it's hard to find that real connection she craves. In fact, she revealed she spent "a few months of just crying my eyes out" trying to figure out how to meet guys: "I've never dated before. I've never even used a dating app. My friends who aren't in the industry are like, 'We'll just go out and meet someone.' But I can't just meet someone at a bar. It doesn't work like that. I struggle with being alone." A struggle a lot of us know too well. But she must've figured it out at some point! She and Scooter have been going hot and heavy!
