Elon Musk is raising eyebrows after using Sydney Sweeney's likeness to showcase the advancement of X's AI. "Grok video is now 10 seconds and the audio is greatly improved," Musk, 54, wrote via X on Wednesday, January 28, with an AI clip originated from user Alex Patrascu. The video features an AI version of Sweeney, 28, saying, "So let me get this straight. Grok videos are now 10 seconds, and the audio is greatly improved?" Her male costar replies, "Yah, pretty much. Do you like it?" Stars Who Weighed In on Sydney Sweeney's Controversial American Eagle Ad Grok was able to reveal the specific prompt Patrascu used to create the video. "Over-the-shoulder shot. Live-action film. They stand put inside a spaceship. She shrugs and says (calm, confused tone) while looking him straight in the eye: 'So let me get this straight. Grok videos are now 10 seconds, and the audio is greatly improved?' He says: 'Yeah, pretty much... Do you like it?'" the prompt read. "Hollywood blockbuster film, live-action look with rich blacks. Handheld shaky camera. Sound effects: Silent interior hum, LED beeps. No music." Us Weekly has reached out to Sweeney's team for comment on the video. Last month, Musk made headlines when he commented on Sweeney's red carpet look at the Housemaid premiere in Los Angeles. Sydney Sweeney Climbs Hollywood Sign to Hang Up Bras for Her Lingerie Brand For the star-studded event, Sweeney wore a low-cut white halter dress, which featured a full skirt. Musk reacted to a video of the actress on the red carpet by posting an AI-generated meme that pointed out the potential health risks of having a larger chest. "Can't be easy," Musk captioned the post via X on December 16, 2025. The meme Musk shared alongside his tweet showed a woman with larger breasts with the text, "What it looks like," compared to "How it feels," with an image of a spinal cord in pain due to being top heavy. While Sweeney never publicly commented on Musk's post, some followers were not impressed with the sentiment. Grok offers real-time search, image generation, trend analysis and more for users across the country. In July 2025, Grok Imagine launched a "Spicy" mode that allows users to generate NSFW images featuring nudity and sexually explicit content. California Attorney General Rob Bonta later announced on January 14 that his office would be opening an investigation into "the proliferation of nonconsensual sexually explicit material" generated by Grok. Relive Sydney Sweeney's Dramatic Fashion Evolution Through the Years "The avalanche of reports detailing the non-consensual, sexually explicit material that xAI has produced and posted online in recent weeks is shocking," Bonta said in a press release. "We have zero tolerance for the AI-based creation and dissemination of nonconsensual intimate images." That same day, X's official Safety account announced that it would restrict users from creating sexually explicit images of real people in areas where such material is illegal. "We remain committed to making X a safe platform for everyone," X said in its statement, "and continue to have zero tolerance for any forms of child sexual exploitation, non-consensual nudity, and unwanted sexual content."
