According to court records, Jonathan Rees was accused of harvesting confidential information for the British tabloid. _ Prince Harry's attorney, David Sherborne, presented evidence against Jonathan Rees to the High Court. "Rees liked to boast about the information he could get. 'We can get the Queen's medical records, he once said,' " Sherborne alleged. _ Aside from claiming that a private investigator tried to access Queen Elizabeth II's medical records, Prince Harry became emotional when accusing the Daily Mail of causing Meghan Markle distress. "They've made my wife's life an absolute misery," Harry said in the witness box, per Newsweek. _ "In late 2016, when my relationship with Meghan, my now wife, became public, I started to become increasingly troubled by the approach of not taking action against the press in the wake of vicious, persistent attacks on, harassment of and intrusive, sometimes racist articles concerning Meghan," Prince Harry continued, per Newsweek.
