Based in New York City, Huang succeeds Steve Fisher, Buchwald's CFO for 41 years. Fisher will be CFO Emeritus and continues offering guidance to the talent agency. "Flora's top-tier experience in finance and strategic operations makes her a tremendous addition to Buchwald. Her leadership and proven ability to drive growth will be key as we evolve the agency and strengthen our impact in an ever-changing entertainment landscape," the agency's Julia Buchwald and Ryan Martin said in a statement on Wednesday. That included the launch of AMC+ across multiple markets. Earlier, Huang worked for a decade at Paramount Pictures, rising to vp of finance and planning. She is a licensed chartered accountant who started out at Deloitte and is currently co-chair of the NextGen board of directors for the Motion Picture & Television Fund. Buchwald was launched by the late Don Buchwald and five partners in 1977, and today has talent representation offices in New York City and Los Angeles. Buchwald, as a talent agent, was the longtime rep of Howard Stern and other top entertainment industry stars. The agency represents a roster of clients in the commercial, broadcast, film, theatre, television, literary, feature film packaging, personal appearance, branding/digital and emerging talent spaces.
