The Los Angeles-based company cut 15 percent of its workforce of about 130 employees. Staffers were informed of the move last week, which was characterized as a realignment of resources. The pink slips are understood to be across the board at AGBO rather than in specific units. One of AGBO's flagship titles, the globe-trotting spy series Citadel that was once envisioned as an expansive franchise with spinoff potential, returns for its second season Prime Video in May. The company also has Citadel star Priyanka Chopra Jonas' actioner The Bluff bowing on the Amazon platform next month. Related Stories Movies Colin Farrell, Russo Bros. The company also has a Robert De Niro, Michelle Monaghan and Adam Scott feature adaptation of The Whisper Man in post production. The Russos, of course, are helming tentpoles Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars for Marvel Studios, with AGBO co-producing. Elsewhere, the company is working with Lionsgate on prequel John Rambo. On the gaming front, seen as a growth area for the company, AGBO has yet to unveil a major foray in interactive entertainment, though the development cycle for those titles is often a multiyear process. The company was launched in 2017 as the Russos' spearheaded Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, and it sold a $400 million minority stake to Nexon Co., the global video game maker, five years later.
