The 15-track record has been two years in the maker, written across Nashville, London and Suffolk, and recorded entirely in Nashville with Ian Fitchuk and Konrad Snyder. It's also the first album of Maisie's to feature collaborations, having worked with Marcus Mumford and Julia Michaels, two of her musician and songwriting heroes. View this post on Instagram Speaking about the album on Instagram, Maisie said: "Florescence means 'the process of flowering/ of developing richly and fully' and to me, this album describes exactly that. these fifteen songs depict a blossoming, a journey into true love that stretches across years, across countries and stages and stars, and leads us into the present moment, 25 years old and ready to share with you this next offering, held out like a peach in my hand. "this album to me centers hope as a force of strength; i hope it feels like sun streaming in through your window after a winter that felt eternal. there is sadness in the music, but also a knowingness that you must live through rains and storms to grow, to change, to heal, and to thrive. this is my story of the last few years, my life weaved like silk into the words that you'll hear in these songs, and i hope you love them just as much as i do."
