"Does it pain Harry to be pointedly excluded from times when the royal family gets together, like Christmas at Sandringham? Of course it does," he told Us Weekly. _ According to Christopher Andersen, while Prince Harry is "content in California," he also seems sad that "neither he nor his [two] children are sharing in their royal heritage." _ While Meghan Markle may be happy with their life away from England, Prince Harry wants to stay connected to his roots. "Harry has always said the door remains open to some sort of relationship with the royal family," Christopher Andersen said. "Meghan's focused on their life in Montecito, but he's holding out hope that he can eventually divide his time between California and the U.K." _ One element of royal life Prince Harry likely misses most is his army career. The father of two was stripped of his honorary military titles after leaving England. "He's all about structure, honor, and duty - things that are missing from his life in Montecito," historian Marlene Koenig told the publication. "Harry's life was far more structured in the U.K.; he had responsibilities and official events to attend." _ Prince Harry may be able to spend more time in the U.K. if he regains his security protections, which appears likely. "Sources at the Home Office have indicated that security is now nailed on for Harry," a source told Daily Mail.
