The group's song, "Shout Out," has also been selected as the South Korean Olympic team's official cheer song. The 23-year-old singer was invited by Samsung Electronics to participate in the relay for the upcoming Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, according to a release from the group's label Belift Labs. It has not yet been announced when or where he'll will join the relay. Sunghoon is not the first K-pop idol to participate in an Olympic relay, however, the move holds hefty significance given the singer was previously a competitive figure skater in his home country. Prior to debuting in boy group Enhypen in 2020, he was a member of South Korea's national reserve team. He has also served as a promotional ambassador for the Korean Sport and Olympic Committee since 2025. "Competing in the Olympics was once my dream as an athlete, so being connected to that dream now as a singer is truly meaningful and an incredible honor." Hailing from Korean entertainment company Belift Lab (a subsidiary of entertainment conglomerate Hybe), Enhypen is comprised of seven members - Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo and Ni-ki. The group was formed through the music survival series I-Land. The series, a joint venture between Hybe and Korean entertainment giant CJ ENM, aired on the CJ ENM-owned channel Mnet in South Korea. Enhypen's latest album, The Sin: Vanish, landed them No. 2 on this week's Billboard 200 chart.
