Landman's Angela Norris loves a good bikini moment, but Ali Larter confessed she isn't a fan of shooting them all the time. "I don't think there's an actress alive that's like, 'Woo! Got a bikini scene!'" Larter, 49, told People in an interview published on Monday, January 26. "Nobody wants to do it." The actress noted that wearing a bikini so often on set is "tough, in a weird way," even though it adds to the confidence of her sexy and in-control housewife character on the Paramount+ series. "Those are the hardest for me. I don't enjoy them," Larter explained. "It's just part of the story that I'm telling, and I'm an actress, so I get on board. But those are definitely my least favorite." What the Cast of Taylor Sheridan's 'Landman' Looks Like in Real Life Larter added that playing the character of Angela - who is the ex-wife of Billy Bob Thornton's Tommy Norris - comes with a lot of physical requirements behind the scenes, including frequently showing off her toned body in bikinis. Angela is "so physical and loves the spray tans, and the blonde," which means Larter has to work hard "staying in shape for this role and all that comes with it." Even with her dedication to staying fit, Larter said she's not always confident walking around in a bathing suit on set. Michelle Randolph, Ali Larter. Emerson Miller/Paramount+ "But no matter what, it's like, I've got to spend all this time fighting off my own insecurities, my own anxiety, to be able to put on that bikini and walk into these scenes," she shared. Larter isn't the only one who has commented on Angela's barely-there attire since the show's premiere in November 2024. While Landman was introduced as a show about corporate fixer Tommy (Thornton) working for an oil titan named Monty Miller (Jon Hamm) and the life-and-death stakes that come with his job in West Texas, the women in Tommy's life soon stole the spotlight. How the 'Landman' Cast Get Through Family Dinner Scenes Without Laughing Tommy and Angela's daughter, Ainsley (Michelle Randolph), in particular turned heads when she schooled her father about her sex rules while walking around his house in bikinis and underwear. (Tommy shares his home with two men about his age.) Both Angela and Ainsley have continued to wear skimpy outfits and cause a stir with their sexual nature - a topic Landman poked fun at during a season 2 episode in December 2025. Did Billy Bob Thornton Wear a Prosthetic in Full-Frontal 'Landman' Scene? In one scene, Tommy asked Angela, "Could you please put all your clothes on before you come downstairs?" after seeing her strutting around their shared home in a shirt that barely covered her yellow bra. "Oh, it bothers you to see my body?" she fired back. Tommy said it doesn't necessarily "bother" him, but he pointed out, "There's other people around here." Angela proceeded to ask Tommy's father, T.L. (Sam Elliott), if he had any issue with her attire and he said no. "I give up. I love you both and there's nothing I can do about that," Tommy conceded after Ainsley entered the room in a similar outfit. "I f***ing surrender." Landman seasons 1 and 2 are now streaming on Paramount+.
