Billie Eilish's brother Finneas is one of many celebrities speaking out after the devastating and tragic death of United States citizen and Veterans Affairs ICU nurse Alex Pretti. If you missed it, violence struck in Minneapolis yet again over the weekend when ICE agents attacked and brutally murdered 37-year-old US citizen, Alex Pretti. Alex, a former ICU nurse for veterans, was on the streets protecting another individual who was attacked by the authorities when he was pushed to the ground, surrounded by several agents, and violently attacked before he was shot 10 times. Alex was a lawful gun owner who had his gun holstered while peacefully protesting. US government officials latched onto this, and in the immediate aftermath of the killing, accused him of being a "domestic terrorist" who was there to cause harm to the ICE agents. HOWEVER, that was quickly disproven when video evidence appears to reveal he was DISARMED by agents before they began shooting at him. In the aftermath of her death, many false narratives swirled around - pushed by bad actors on the far right. So needless to say, people are FED UP, to say the least, and they're no longer staying quiet. Deeply upset about the current rhetoric around Alex's gun ownership, Finneas took to social media to share an impassioned video calling out the hypocrisy of the government, saying: "We have all lived in the United States through a truly a countless number of school shootings. School shooting after school shooting after school shooting after school shooting. And the conservative argument that allows school shootings to continue has always basically boiled down to, 'We have to protect the Second Amendment. We have to allow people to carry weapons. We have to allow people to own and carry weapons, legally.' And oh, some little kids die, that's ok with them. Unf**kingbelievable argument, by the way." Addressing the current tragedy, he went on: "Every argument I've seen for why Alex Pretti's death was justified yesterday is like, 'Well, he had a gun.' Shut the f**k up! You've spent 30 years straight telling us that children have to die so that we're allowed to legally carry weapons - everywhere in the United States. This guy was being beaten to a pulp on the ground. He didn't draw his weapon. He had a weapon on him - legally! And they shot the f**k out of him and killed him, so shut the f**k up! We have been telling you for 30 years we don't think people should be allowed to have as many guns as they're allowed to have or carry them legally around the United States. We've been telling you that for years. You've told us that it has to happen, it has to continue, children continue to have to die to allow us to carry guns around. So shut the f**k up!" Finneas is obviously referring to the right wing narrative that unfolds after every tragic school shooting. It's the same every time. They tell us this is the price we pay for the right to bear arms. So now, when a citizen is killed, and they try to tell us it was for exercising that very right - when all he was doing was having a concealed gun in his holster - well, obviously people are gonna call it out.
