by Stephanie SoteriouBuzzFeedBuzzFeed Staff Well folks, it has been exactly one week since Brooklyn Peltz Beckham issued his dramatic six-post Instagram statement that slammed his famous family for how they have apparently treated him and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, in recent years. Samir Hussein / Getty Images As I am sure you know by now, the whole thing was pretty damning, with Brooklyn's decision to air the dirty laundry leaving everybody well and truly gagged. You can read an extensive, in-depth recap of the entire feud here, or the details of just Brooklyn's statement here. Jerritt Clark / Getty Images But the long and the short of it is basically that Brooklyn claimed he has been "controlled" by his famous parents, Victoria and David Beckham, for "most" of his life, which left him with "overwhelming anxiety." He added that this family values "public promotion and endorsements above all else." He wrote: "Brand Beckham comes first. Family 'love' is decided by how much you post on social media, or how quickly you drop everything to show up and pose for a family photo opp, even if it's at the expense of our professional obligations." Jeff Spicer / Getty Images In addition to this, Brooklyn said that his whole family has been "consistently" disrespectful toward Nicola, and have been actively trying to ruin their relationship. Victoria was also singled out as Brooklyn claimed that she had "hijacked" his and Nicola's first dance at their wedding by dancing "very inappropriately on" him. He said: "I've never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life." Still, his choice of words caused a huge stir across social media, with many left curious about what dancing "very inappropriately on" meant. As you've probably seen, it sparked a whole ton of memes and joke tweets, and youngest Beckham boy, Cruz, suggested that he was seeing the funny side of the very messy situation as he was caught liking some of these playful posts on Instagram. Thankfully for us all, Tony immediately came through with the tea as he said that it was the wedding brunch the day after the main event that "was the most awkward part," because all of the guests were talking about what had happened between Victoria and Brooklyn the day before. ITV / Via youtube.com "Why I'm here is to talk about the word 'inappropriate,'" Tony then said. "There was no slut dropping, there was no black PVC catsuit, there was no Spice Girls action... I said it was inappropriate as well because, at the time, it was the timing." Samir Hussein / Getty Images "Basically, Marc Anthony was performing on stage, he then called Brooklyn onto stage. Brooklyn went onto the stage, everyone's expecting it to be Nicola to go up and do the first dance, and then he, Marc Anthony, asks the most beautifulest woman in the room to come to the stage, and then he says: 'Victoria, come up to the stage,'" he went on. "So, Victoria is by the stage, she goes onto the stage, and at this point, Brooklyn's suddenly literally devastated because he thought he was going to do his first dance with his wife." Dave Benett / Getty Images "Then Nicola leaves the room, crying her eyes out," Tony explained. "Brooklyn's stuck there on stage, and then they do this dance and Marc Anthony is like: 'Go put your hands on your mother's hips,' it was a Latin, you know? It's a Latin thing, and the whole situation was really awkward for everyone in the room. I've done an awful lot of Beckham parties in the past, and they're a very dancy, close-knit family. They love to dance, right? This is all about how Brooklyn feels. If he felt it was inappropriate and awkward, then it was inappropriate." Dave Benett / Getty Images Tony's comments came as a source told People that Victoria and David have been left "horrified" by the whole situation, and that they are scared of losing Brooklyn forever. The insider said: "They are afraid of losing their son and would take him back in a minute. They are a close family, too. Just in a different way than Nicola's family is. They love Brooklyn and are horrified about everything." Samir Hussein / Getty Images "David and Victoria believe time will heal this. They know over time that Brooklyn will come back. They can't really do anything until then," the source concluded, adding that Brooklyn and Nicola only speak with his parents "through mediators."
