Unexpected star Bella Vaughn, 15, has clarified the timeline surrounding her pregnancy. Vaughn, who is a cast member on the upcoming season 7 of the TLC reality series, recently took to TikTok to share a video in which she addressed rumors about her family, her pregnancy and more. Among the topics she addressed was the idea that she and boyfriend Hunter, 13, are not real parents because they're teens themselves. "Just because I am a teen does not make me any less of a mother. I am a mother. I did have that baby. I did grow that baby for nine, almost 10 months. Hunter is a father," she said. Additionally, Vaughn clarified that Hunter was 12 years old when they conceived their son, Wes, but he turned 13 just a few days later. She also cleared up speculation that their sexual relationship was not consensual. Season 6 of 'Unexpected' Trailer: Meet the New - and Returning - Couples "I understand it doesn't make it any better. I understand he was sexually ready faster than I was, and that's OK, but I was ready when we had sex," she said. "You can all stop saying that it was illegal and that I raped him because I didn't. It was both intentional. On both sides, people have already said that. We've already talked to the cops about it. It was consensual." She later added, "I did not ruin Hunter's life. I gave, when I found that I was pregnant, I gave him the option. I said, 'If you can't do this or you don't want to be here, that is fine. I understand we're both very young, but I can do this on my own or with you. It's your decision. Whatever you choose, I'm fine with.' He chose to stay with me. He chose to take care of our baby." Vaughn also shut down rumors that she and her family have "glorified" teen pregnancy. TLC/YouTube "Nothing is being glorified. If you watch my mom's TikToks, we say how hard it is, we say we would never recommend it to anyone," she continued. "If you watch Unexpected, they show how hard it is, they show how [many] fights you get [into] and how annoying it is and how inconvenient it is. That is what Unexpected is about. It's not about glorifying it. I'm not recommending teen pregnancy to anybody." Elsewhere in the video, Vaughn defended her parents, reassuring fans that it wasn't a case of bad parenting that led to her pregnancy. "My parents are great parents, and they have done everything for me. They support me, they take care of me. They help me take care of my kid," she said. "I knew right from wrong. I knew I was doing wrong. It's not a parenting issue. ... [My mom] did take care of me. I just messed up. If you don't have a teen, you don't understand." 'Teen Mom' Star Catelynn Lowell's Brother Nicholas, 19, Expecting 1st Baby Vaughn and Hunter's relationship and parenting challenges were teased in the first trailer for Unexpected season 7, which Us Weekly exclusively revealed on January 13. "I don't want him to be held back in the eighth grade," Bella's mom, Falen, told her in the clip. Bella expressed a similar sentiment, telling Hunter, "I don't want him to be a tenth grader dating an eighth grader. We've got a toddler." Unexpected season 7 premieres on TLC Monday, February 16, at 9 p.m. ET.
