The latest star getting dragged into the messy drama between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni? None other than Johnny Depp! New documents obtained by TMZ on Thursday revealed her husband, Ryan Reynolds, name-dropped the Pirates of the Caribbean actor in text messages to his talent agent, Warren Zavala, back in August 2024 while discussing the It Ends With Us director/lead. This is around the time that feud rumors began due to the lack of joint interviews and appearances on the red carpet with Blake and Justin, along with reports about on-set problems. Oh, and the intense backlash from the Gossip Girl alum's past interviews of her being rude or like a mean girl resurfaced. The conversation went like this... It feels like he's laying a trap if her truth surfaces, while promoting a narrative digitally." The Deadpool alum agreed. However, he seemed confident the whole thing would "blow up in his face" once the supposed truth came out. Ryan replied: "Yeah. But honestly, someone is just gonna tell a journalist the real deal and it's gonna blow up in his face." Warren, on the other hand, wasn't too sure. As she wrote: "One would think. But the truth does become muddled sometimes. That's why I'm concerned if he's laying a trap. I hope this fraud s**t weasel is exposed. I just want to protect our downside. The movie working is everything. Let's see if the noise subsides." As we all know, that did not happen... The talent agent then sent a link to a story about Blake and Justin fighting over the final cut of the movie, adding: "This is all spin. I think we let it burn." Ryan didn't seem down for the plan, though. He fired back: "How'd that work for Depp??" Of course, that is a reference to the Edward Scissorhands star's infamous defamation battle with Amber Heard. It ended with Johnny getting $10.35 million in punitive damages, while Amber was awarded $2 million in damages in her counterclaim. Outside of the courtroom? Both stars' careers and reputations took a hit due to the legal battle - though Johnny seems to be on the rebound lately. Warren acknowledged "not well" and that the case "cratered both of them ultimately," before slamming Justin as an "egotistical s**t weasel with a god complex." Damn! Ryan also called the Jane The Virgin alum a "human rounding error." It's interesting that Blake's hubby mentions Depp here. If you recall, the Simple Favor star accused Justin of sexual harassment and starting a nasty PR smear campaign to destroy her reputation. And he hired PR crisis manager Melissa Nathan to help him carry it out - the same woman Johnny enlisted amid his defamation trial against Amber. And while, yes, as we mentioned, he faced backlash amid the nasty allegations the Aquaman alum levied against him, she really took the brunt of it online! It was so bad that she moved to Spain and retreated from the spotlight. Meanwhile, Johnny has been rebuilding and making appearances at major Hollywood events, including the San Sebastian Film Festival and Cannes, following the trial.
