Disney's live-action remake of the original animated film is now available to buy or rent on digital at Apple TV+, Prime Video and other premium video-on-demand streaming platforms. Lilo & Stitch will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on Aug. 26, including in a 4K UHD Steelbook collector's edition. A date has not yet been announced for the film's debut on Disney+. Their lives are forever changed when Lilo adopts Stitch, a genetically engineered alien who crash-lands on Earth and pretends to be a dog. The live-action film also stars David Kawena, Zach Galifianakis, Billy Magnussen, Courtney B. Vance and Hannah Waddingham alongside original voice actors Tia Carrere, Amy Hill, Jason Scott Lee and Chris Sanders. Already a top franchise for Disney, the new film also sparked discussion about how the new ending "contributes to the narrative of displacement of Hawaiians from their ancestral lands." How to Watch Lilo & Stitch (2025) Online The live-action Lilo & Stitch film is now available to buy or rent on digital at Apple TV+, Prime Video and other premium video-on-demand (PVOD) streamers. First released in theaters on May 23, Lilo & Stitch is expected to stream on Disney+ after 90 or more days after its theatrical run. That puts the expected streaming release date close to the end of August or early September. (For example, the live-action Snow White opened in theaters on March 21 and arrived on Disney+ on June 11, while Pixar's Inside Out 2 premiered on June 14, 2024 and landed on Disney+ in late September.) In the meantime, Disney+ subscribers can stream the original Lilo & Stitch animated movie and its spinoffs, including Lilo & Stitch The Series, Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch, Stitch!
