The four surviving members of One Direction are ringing in 2026 with new music - all within the same week. Simon Cowell famously formed 1D on The X Factor UK in 2010, bringing together Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne to front a boy band. The group, however, fractured in 2015 when Malik left the group to pursue a solo career. The rest of the boys announced an indefinite hiatus the next year. Nearly a decade later, Payne tragically died after suffering a fatal fall in Argentina at the age of 31.
