Ruby Rose shared her unfiltered response to Melissa Gilbert's support of husband Timothy Busfield as he faces child sex abuse allegations. "No where in my heart, or mind, can I understand the Melissa Gilbert's of the world," Rose, 39, declared via Threads on Tuesday, January 20. While some users sided with Rose's opinion on the topic, others questioned her, with one person asking, "It's an open and shut case in your opinion?" "Decades worth of accusations from children, don't tend to follow innocent men," Rose wrote back, implying that she thinks Busfield, 68, is guilty of child sex abuse due to the alleged pattern of behavior. How Melissa Gilbert Feels About Timothy Busfield's Release Before Trial Rose's bold statement came shortly after Gilbert, 61, appeared at a court hearing for Busfield in New Mexico on Tuesday following his arrest earlier this month. Gilbert, who has been married to Busfield since 2013, was seen sitting in the front row of the courtroom behind her husband, who wore an orange jumpsuit. The Little House on the Prairie alum was one of 14 witnesses expected to address the court at the hearing in support of Busfield, who has been accused of child sex abuse by two twin brothers he worked with on the set of The Cleaning Lady. News broke earlier this month that a warrant was issued in New Mexico for Busfield's arrest related to the allegations. The warrant obtained by Us Weekly claimed that the incidents occurred on the Fox TV set between 2022 and 2024 when Busfield worked as the show's director. "I did not do anything to those little boys," he claimed in a video shared with TMZ. "I'm going to fight it. I'm going to fight it with a great team, and I'm going to be exonerated. I know I am because this is all so wrong and all lies." Busfield is facing two counts of sexual abuse involving a minor and one count of child abuse. "Melissa stands with and supports her husband and will address the public at an appropriate time." Ahead of his Tuesday hearing, Gilbert asked the judge to keep Busfield "safe" while he was still in lockup. "The reality is that Tim Busfield is my love, my rock, my partner in business and life," she wrote in a letter to the court, according to court documents obtained by Us on Friday, January 16. "He is my comfort and my council. His joy, humor and quick wit bring sparkle to my life. Tim is, quite simply, the beating heart of our wild and wonderful extended family." Gilbert claimed that Busfield "has the strongest moral compass of any human I have ever known." She proceeded to describe the West Wing alum as someone who "dedicated his spiritual self to always being of service to others" and who leads his life with "kindness and compassion." Busfield's civil attorney Larry Stein told People on Tuesday that he "feels wonderful" about going home and that Gilbert is "very, very excited." After Rose caused a stir with her statement against Gilbert's support, she tried to turn her focus back on the people she said are "fantastic" ones to work with in Hollywood. "I actually don't like being forced to speak negatively on people.
